First, professional introduction

Founded in 1999, the advertising major adheres to the school philosophy of "serving the local area, facing the Yangtze River Delta, integrating with the international community, promoting national brands and leading lifestyle", and has sent nearly 1,000 qualified professionals to the society。In the past five years, the employment rate of graduates has reached more than 95%。At present, there are more than 281 students。There will be 39 graduates in 2022 and 45 students in 2023。At present, there are 8 full-time teachers, including 2 foreign teachers and 2 master supervisors。Adhering to the school philosophy of "serving the local area, facing the Yangtze River Delta, integrating with the international community, promoting national brands and leading lifestyle", the professional has sent nearly 1,000 professionals to the society。

In 2019, the Advertising undergraduate education program jointly organized by NTU College of Science and Technology and Juniata College of the United States was approved by the Ministry of Education, which is the only formal international cooperation program of the university at present, providing a good platform for training advertising professionals with an international vision。In 2020, the first China-Us Cooperation class enrolled students。

Juniata College (Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, USA, founded in 1876) digital media major has always been one of the traditional advantages of the school, with a high level of teacher conditions and rich education and teaching resources。The teaching mode is DMS (DIGITAL MEDIA STUDIO), which uses a dual tutorial system: professional tutors and technicians/practitioners。Combine project-oriented teaching with students' innovative and creative teaching to incubate students' self-employment。Graduates are employed at places such as AMC television, 20th Century Fox and independent production companies。

4. Training programs for China-Us cooperation projects

After graduating from the fourth academic year and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from Juniata College, students can apply for three professional master's degrees in Business administration (namely MBA), organizational behavior and accounting from Juniata College without taking an exam, enjoy preferential tuition fees for undergraduate and master's studies within one year, and have better-paid work-study positions。

The College of Science and Technology of Ningbo University in China and Juniata College in the United States jointly design the talent training program for the advertising undergraduate education program,Teaching takes place at the College of Science and Technology of Ningbo University,The training program highlights the characteristics of Sino-American cooperative teaching,A total of 18 American courses were introduced in four years,Each semester, 1-3 foreign teachers are engaged in full English teaching。

In order to ensure the smooth development of the teaching work, the two sides set up the project teaching inspection and diagnosis committee。The committee is composed of the US representative and the head of the Chinese teaching and functional departments. It is responsible for the teaching organization, implementation and evaluation of the cooperative school program and reports to the project Management Committee on a regular basis。

The Chinese and American schools jointly develop the talent training plan for this major, and the teachers of the two schools jointly train the students of this major。The courses are taught in English by foreign teachers with Chinese teaching assistants with master's degrees or above。It attaches importance to the cultivation of innovative practical ability, and has established long-term cooperative relations with more than 20 enterprises and institutions in Shanghai and Hangzhou, such as Ansopa, Zhiwei Technology, Hanweis, Simei Media, and hired several domestic and foreign academic and industry mentors from Ningbo National Advertising Industry Park and Ningbo University to give part-time lectures。Attach importance to the innovation of classroom teaching, and improve the teaching effect by means of "interactive classroom" and "project-based teaching"。

7. Practical teaching conditions

Advertising major has digital media lab, photography studio, advertising design and production studio, advertising editing room, audio recording and production room, multimedia courseware production room (sharing), speech lab, conversation audio-visual lab, which can fully meet the needs of teaching and discipline construction of this major。A total of construction funds for laboratories and equipment related to various professions were invested 421.8万元。These laboratories set teaching, scientific research, training functions in one, advanced equipment, combination optimization, reasonable configuration;It is open for more than 12 hours a day and is free to students during the rest of the day except during class hours。In addition, there are 26 advertising training enterprise bases such as Ningbo National Advertising Industry Park, Ningbo Longwen Advertising, Lianying Media, Ningbo Cool tide E-commerce Co., LTD., and United Power。

8. Employment prospects

The employment direction of graduates is mainly for news media advertising departments, advertising companies, public accounts, market research and information consulting industries, and enterprises and institutions engaged in advertising management, advertising planning and creativity, design and production, digital photography and production, new media operation and promotion, marketing planning and market research and analysis, corporate brand publicity, etc。
